What is Cube?
Cube definition: When a number is multiplied by itself three times, the product so formed is called the cube of that number.
If ‘b’ is a number, then the cube of b is
b3 = b x b x b.
Example: What is Cubed of 3?
3 Cubed =
3 × 3 x 3 = 27, we say that 27 is the cube of 3.
Other examples of cube
- 1 × 1× 1 =13= 1, cube of 1 is 1.
- 2 × 2 × 2= 23= 8, cube of 2 is 8.
- 4 × 4 × 4 = 43= 64, cube of 4 is 64.
- 5 × 5 × 5 = 53= 125, cube of 5 is 125.
Thus, the cube of a number is a number raised to the power 3.
